Coconut is a great toy Poodle ( 7 lbs. )( 7 &1/2 yrs old ) but I have noticed in the last few months that he will sit; usually on my lap, and rapidly stick his tongue out for minutes and move his head up and down. We do go for a walk every day or I let him run free at a large park here in Woodstock.he also rarely gives any kisses but only on my hand. His favorite activity is sitting ore laying down on me when I sit in my chair. Should I correct these behaves; Tongue and kisses and HOW. thanks from Coconuts Buddy.

I don’t see the need to correct the behavior as long as it is not harmful to himself or anyone else. Some poodles can exhibit strange or
unusual behavioral traits. My mini poodle licks my legs, arms, elbows, ears, nose, etc… whenever she can. We try to discourage the
incessant licking, which can go on for minutes! It’s a sign of affection but our skin also tastes good to dogs.

      • Thank you very much for the help.

How much food should a 7lb. 7tear old poodle eat and should they be fed once or twice a day
        thank you again

          You’re most welcome.

I assume it is a toy poodle if it weighs 7 lbs.

I would check the package to see what it says, but usually if it is dry food, then feed her or him
between 1/4 cup and 3/4 cups. Feed twice a day.

You can follow these general tips as well:

Dogs should be fed at the same time every day. Feeding at the same time will keep your dog on a bathroom schedule.

Feed your dog the same type and brand of food every day. Unlike humans, a dog’s digestive system cannot handle changes in food. It can cause upset stomach and diarrhea.

When switching to a new food gradually transition him to the new food by mixing portions of both foods until you slowly phase out the old food. Your dog may experience diarrhea if his food is suddenly changed.

If you are mixing water into dry food you should mix 4 parts dry food to 1 part water.

          Don’t overfeed your dog.

Follow the guidelines on the dog food package for recommended feeding amounts.

I hope that this information was helpful in some way.
